Dexter: Watch it.

This show has been growing in popularity over time, but I have been a huge fan since I decided to watch two seasons concurrently, some time earlier this year.

I highly recommend it for more reasons than the fact that the song they play in the background of this trailer is The Black Keys (Strange Times). Man I love that band...

Also, dig the Shepard Fairey (OBEY) poster for Dexter!! Slick!

The First Annual Coaster Throwing Championships July 22nd at Phog Lounge

An event I've been wanting to put on for a long while now...
The best coaster throwers (in their own minds) will be invited to come out and fling coasters at targets arranged on stage, which will then be ranked based on how well or terrible they throw.
Each round, people are eliminated until there are two participants left.
The mediocre prizes go to the victor, and a champion is born.

The event run July 22nd, a Tuesday, at 8pm.
If you want in, you must e-mail me or tell me you want in.
T-shirts, CDs, and who knows what else will be gifted to the winner...with a possible runner-up prize.

Windsor Live Music: New Windsor Compilation CD promo...

My cousin has a good idea.
This is it.
I'm sure he's had more than one, but this is the one he's working on right now...
By the way, WAMM magazine prices are more than reasonable considering what it is providing, and to my knowledge there are ads for anyone's range...even under $ you WAMM...

Windsor Live Music: Tuesday July 8th

Here's the links to the out-of-town bands...
Special Noise (Montreal) and they remind me SO MUCH of Museum Pieces.
The Peace Leeches (Chatham).

Egotorium Art Show begins at Phog Lounge

Windsor Live Music: Whoa Nellie! (Toronto) playing Phog Saturday July 5th

Whoa Nellie!
At long last Whoa, Nellie! is back in Windsor with a show coming up this Saturday, July 5th at the Phog Lounge, located at 157 University Ave. West, right downtown. Ahh, the swing-a-billy sounds of summer!!

We're gonna hit you up for a measly $5 at the door to pay the band, and what a band it will be: alongside expat Windsorite Vera Colley on the accordion & vocals and Johnny G pickin' guitar, we've got local rhythm section extraordinaire Josh Zalev on bass, and Bradford Helner on drums. Josh and Bradford are featured on our upcoming album "Truckers, Kickers and Cowboy Angels" recorded here in Windsor, due out this Christmas.

The show starts at 11:00 p.m. until the rollicking wee hours -- hope to see you there. A fun time will be had by all. Promise. Tell your friends!

Regards, Vera
